No more news to report on the job front. I'm hoping for something later today.

Went to sleep to rain, woke up to rain, radar suggests I'll fritter away the hours at work to rain. (Be careful what I wish for....) Good thing I'd been on automatic this morning, and grabbed my "weekend" purse too, which has the purple socks I'm knitting. Don't expect to get more done than that today. Especially with New Boss holed up in his office, processing a backlog of paperwork. (Paperwork = the silly daily log sheets they're making us fill out now, to give the higher-ups enough numbers to justify giving us more staff. Or so they say. It's a durn nuissance.)

By got home late, because the guy who was supposed to walk Robyn's dog last night took off without doing it, and By got to. Robyn's supposed to be back in studio today, so he's out of that chore for a while.

Spent last night multi-tasking, trying to fill my brain up, so the hamster-wheel worry would stop spinning in my head. Two movies, a long phone call, and a tricky lace pattern in a fine slippery yarn--and it mostly worked. I'm still fussing about the job thing, but as long as I don't think about it too much, I'm ok. I **really** hope it gets posted today, so I can get my app in and stop worrying for a little while. Or at least, worry differently than I am now.

Le sigh

The jobs board STILL hasn't been updated for today.

In other news, I've been frittering away the time actually doing something that resembles work. Started working on a list of the ID signs I've already put out on plants around campus, and roughly where they are, as a checklist. That way any trained monkey can be sent to an area to for a set of signs, and know what's supposed to be there. (I figure I oughta work on some of the loose ends I've got started. Just in case, you know? Polite, and all that. And, heaven forbid, if I don't get out of here this winter, well, I can keep working on this project, stretch it out. New Boss doesn't have any idea how long something like this is supposed to take.)
