An uneventful, busy trip to Mom's. Sis & her sprouts were there when we got there; nice to see her, but with the adults wanting to work Jake didn't have any fun. And the ilttlest one is teething, so he's chewing on whatever fits in his mouth and crying intermittently.

Got a lot of Mom's honey-do list taken care of, though:
* limbed up the two smaller trees in back
* limbed up the elms out front (as much as I could reach)
* cut honeysuckle hedge away from house
* cut mulberry tree out of rose-of-sharon bush
* move 3 of the lilac seedlings (she'd planted them too close together)to the other side of the yard
* pulled Mom's bed out from the wall so she could clean behind it
* turn the mattress
* hand new medicine chest & mirror in her bathroom
* hauled trash up from the basement
* fnished painting and hung replacement boards for the privacy fence on the deck
* made the front porch safer, and figured out a plan for a more permanent "fix", whenwe have more time
* looked at the toilets, swapped parts to make them functional, and plan to go back and replace one completely

And, we had time to visit with my aunt and uncle, who drove in because Mom told them we were in town. And play one round of cars Sun night, because it's a rule that when we visit, we have to play cards.

Sis was still in a tizzy when we were at Mom's because Chance had caught and ate a junebug last week. Ate = crunched up with his (as yet) toothless gums and swallowed. She was so upset that she called Mom, then the local poison control center, who told her to relax, it was nothing harmful. Chance was fine, but Sis was sick for three days just from thinking about it.
