Another weekend past

Saturday--work, woop-de-doo. Vrey windy, too windy to do much beyond walking the naturals areas and pick up accumulated trash. Nothing says "eeewwww" quite like a slimy old plastic bad that drips algae back into the creek as you pick it up with a stick.
Party Sat night was nice, although we ended up leaving just as the party was getting going (11:30). Must take nap before next party.
Sunday, had a nice visit with Cat, and took recyling to Lawrence, and did a little book shopping. Ended the afternoon watching The BLue Colllar Comedy Tour on DVD with Cat, and knitting. Got another 1/2" done on The Sweater. Finished making out bead order after Cat left.
Monday, By & I both felt off kilter....I'm blaming it on the cold front coming through, and the wind and all the dust in the air. Didn't get much done. Still all plugged up, but By let me sleep in and sleep off the Nyquil, and I'm better today.
I've put in my bead order this morning, and am crocheting a beaded necklace for possible inclusion in my costume for Jen & JC's party the end of the month. Not a fast process, but it looks cool. Ah, the price we pay for neatness.
By's been cleaning out the family room so he can set up a layout table and start sewing on his costume. His will be simpler than mine, he's already got some of his outfit. We're both aiming for costumes we can wear, in total or in pieces, other places later (easier to justify spending money on it this way).
Still need to order dress and scarves and dyes from Dharma, but we're waiting for Cat to give us her list too--save a bit on shipping and stuff that way.
