No new sock report today

The sock stuff got packed last night, along with a small pile of almost-finished knitting projects (drawstrings to make, ends to weave in, short seams to do). I'm actually only taking 2 in-progress things to Heartland, Ranj's socks, and that grey wool lace.

I finished my packing last night while By was up at Gaea building cribs for the fires. I guess they're all done now; he got home awful late. But pleased, I think, with the work that got done.

Today's plan is, last I checked: while I'm at work (sucks, don't it?), By will finish loading the truck and take our stuff up to finish setting up camp. (Only our tent is up right now.) He will then meet me at home to gather any last-minute things, and we will go be pagan until Monday.

Looks like good camping weather--little cool, sunny afternoons. And less rain in the forecast than last year.

I will probably go plant shopping on the work card again today. Couldn't ever talk to the guy at D&R plants, and he didn't return my messages. Some sales manager. I'm tired of dicking around with this company, and being told repeatedly--"I know what we said, but now we don't know if we can deliver on that date." Or, "We're really sorry, but it looks like we sold your order to someone else." Sheeesh.

I am SO ready for a vacation.
