A very good day
Mar. 31st, 2003 08:37 pmSpent the day playing int he greenhouse with Donna. I must have put down 30 flats of seed by myself (for the record, that's 2-3 seeds per cell, on average, and 48 cells per flat). Mostly tomatoes; I got to finish that for her. I have no idea how many kinds of tomatoes she'll have at the plant sale this year, but I'm guessing at least 35. Weee! Why? Because some are favorites of old customers, some are her old favorites, and some things are just so strange you've got to try them at least once. Like an heirloom tomato called 'Banana Legs', for instance.....
Also started my 5' tall marigolds--a whole flat. I can't wait for those to get started.
And when I got home, By had two cabinets from the stash in the lean-to in the kitchen, with shelves and a countertop and everything! The pantry has so much more space now. The poor dear worked too hard today, and he was tired from yesterday too, but damn, he's been productive this weekend.
