i need a nap
Jan. 30th, 2003 07:20 amYes, I know what time it is. And I've already been up for over 2 hrs.
I really hate starting the work week off short on sleep; running on 4 hrs sleep yesterday translates into being sluggish and not alert the rest of the week. And this week is tour meet-the-new boss week; he's bouncing all over asking questions about everything. Faking alertness takes almost as much energy as being alert. So far, the new boss has made a good impression, and our department has apparently made agood impression on him. I'm withholding judgement until we see how he reacts to one of Dr. Baird's temper tantrums (Baird is the vp over facilities). If he can keep his cool after one of those, he'll do fine.
Looks like Robyn's going to the Baltimore show after all (she decided last Friday). And, she'll be flying By out Feb 16 (Sunday), so he can help her with setting up the booth. By's looking forward to seeing a major show. Right now it looks like he'll be gone most of my weekend; I may go visiting, I haven't decided yet.
