A week 'til Xmas break
Dec. 18th, 2002 07:11 amFour days of work, then two weeks off. Hooray! I like my job, but it is slow slow slow right now. Today's the department Xmas party. I brought brownies.
Wrapped, packed, and addressed Xmas packages last night; By's going to mail them today. We're a bit behind this year, but most of the relatives expect that from us, and it's no big deal. The presents ought to get there while it's still December, that's close enough.
Still haven't finished that #### pair of socks yet. Broke one of the needles last night, as I was finishing the cuff on the second sock. We'll see how good Brittany's warranty is on their needles. I brought them today; figured I could try to get the heel started.
Next project on the must-finish list: the white shawl (just need to finish the edging and block it). Then my mom's lace shawl (also needs the edging, but it's a fine rayon and slippery), and By's socks, and.....the pile of yarn is never-ending.
