treeskinThe Sock Report: Finished the first of the lacy thigh-hi stockings yesterday. 8.5 hrs start to finish. Started the second one, got the toes and a bit done. Also swatched the Chinese Lace pattern out of the Barbara Walker book yesterday afternoon, and rewrote it for working in the round.
The UnSock Report: Working on the white textures kimono today (less thinking involved). Got one sleeve done, and am working on the stripes of ivory chenille that go over the left shoulder. (No, this isn't a new project...it's an old UFO whose original purpose I can't remember, just an experiment in modular construction, and I decided that the part that I finished looked like a sleeve.) It's going to be mostly ivory rayon chenille and a white mohair/rayon loop, with a few bits of Lion Brand Imagine (mohair/acrylic blend) in off-white, and accents of dark blue and green. I'm trying to do it entirely of stash yarn, just to see if I can.
