There and back again

A fairly short, painless visit with the family...Mom and Grandma, at least. Met them at the Chinese restaurant we used to like when we were in Manhattan, had a late lunch, talked a bit, went to Dusty Bookshelf and talked some more. Mom brought presents...a nice hand-thrown salsa plate for our anniversary, Russell Stover chocolates from Grandma, plus an antique school music book. And the local papers, so I can read all the hoo-rah about the foster kid that got kicked out of school, and the lawsuits that ensued.

Pretty mild trip for us...two book stores (Dusty & Hastings), and under $40 total.
