I think I found your wrapped cardi pattern. Go here, and go about halfway down the page...the adult version of the baby origami kimono. It says you need the magazine with the baby-sized version to do it, but I'm sure I have that issue running around somewhere.

Only thing I wasn't sure about was that this version was done in a heavy worsted weight yarn, held double, on #11 needles. BUT, that's the easiest part to change.

I'm tempted to try one in Lion Brand Homespun held with a strand of worsted acrylic...that'd be soft and durable.
