The Sock Report: got a few inches done on the toe-up spiral rib sock during the rainy Saturday afternoon. Took the orange alpaca with me to the girls-only party at Jen's, got a couple inches on that too. Need to get more reinforcing thread before I go any further; the alpaca is very soft, and I just feel better about doing a sock outof it if the whole foot is reinforced.

The UnSock Report, Beads Section: nearly finished with the red-toned crocheted bracelet. I plan to spend some quality time this week on that netted fringe for the scarf.

The UnSock Report, Costume Section: nothing done yet. Cat was sick Friday, and stayed home, and I got distracted this weekend, so didn't get anything dyed. Not necessarily a bad thing; I needed the rest/relaxation. I'm beginning to think I should do some stencils--ivy, oak leaves, etc--for the scarves and dress.

The UnSock Report, Bookbinding Section: oooo, the lure of a new distraction. Finished a bunch of stuff last night, mostly stitched stab bindings, all fairly small. Used some pages I'd inked years ago, so it also counts as completing UFO's. I get extra points for that. I'm also patting myself on the back for making an attractive finished product out of a signature I'd done wrong when I was trying to figure out the instructions for Coptic binding. Making something neat out of mistakes also gets extra points.

Been thinking about doing a bunch of small blank books, probably Coptic bound (something easy) and taking them to Heartland to sell. A friend of ours will have a booth this year, and has offered to let us put things out. I'll probably be doing a bunch of blank books between now and then anyway, just because.

By had to go to work last night to tinker with Robyn's computer. He had to be at work early this morning, since she's off to Bangkok today, to talk to some people about outsourcing part of her production. She's been thinking about it for a while, to reduce her costs, and this opportunity came up, with a now's-the-time deadline. I hope this goes well for her.

Haven't heard anything more from my sister. Will probably call Mom tonight and see if she's had the amnio yet. *crosses fingers*

*crosses toes* (hard to type with crossed fingers, and I've lots of stuff on the work to-do list today)

Question - how do you post pics to your LJ? One of my co-workers kindly took some pics with is digital camera of the baby cuteness that I made last week (or was it the week before?) so that I could share them. I'm sure there's something in the FAQ, I just haven't found it yet.

I too have digits crossed.

As for your question on pictures, it is explained at LJ FQ Question #6 (http://www.livejournal.com/support/faqbrowse.bml?faqid=6)

Regarding [livejournal.com profile] anguisetteowner's comment: you need to have a place online to host them, that will allow remote hosting (I think that's what it's called). I use photobucket.com -- it's free, the bandwidth restrictions are very generous, and it's been reliable for me so far.
