ladymurmur, here are a

strawberry leaf print on typing paper

sage leaf print, on flecked beige paper

assorted leaves and vines, printed onto same paper as above

sage leaves printed onto my handmade paper from years and years ago, overwritten with the following paragraph in copper gel pen:
"A man has made at least a start on discovering the meaning of human life whenhe plants shade trees under which he knows full well he'll never sit." -- Elton Trueblood

sage leaves printed on handmade paper, overwritten with the following quote from Dr. Seuss:
"I am the Lorax, I speak for the trees, for the trees have no tongues."
The ragged edges on the two cards above were the (very rough) deckle edges of the paper. It was my first attempt at making paper from recycled office-paper.

pen and colored pencil sketch of the bonsai tree I bought in December

based on Persian cloud scrolls, from 16th & 17th cent ceramics; colored pencil and pen

more cloud scrolls, also pen and colored pencil

this is actually part of a triptych (the design covers three cards), also based on painting on 17th cent Turkish ceramics, a very styllized cypress leaf form; acrylic paint

tulip forms, based on the design around a plate, Ottoman Turk; pen and colored pencil

based on same plate as above; pen and colored pencil (I've taken some liberties with color selection)"
