May. 6th, 2005 11:00 amJust in case anyone's been curious about this....it IS possible to make a functional lucet using two 12" pieces of rigid copper wire (the plastic-coated kind) and a bit of electrical tape to hold them together.

Date: 2005-05-06 04:31 pm (UTC)I remembered my knitting, thank you very much, both projects even. And have finished the first project, the green and yellow Turkish socks. And got the ends woven in. The final touch is a lucetted cord as a drawstring at the top of the sock. A twisted cord is more traditional, but I like the texture of the luceted cord, and can get more consistency on it.
That was more information that you probably needed. Sorry 'bout that. I need a nap, that's my only excuse.
