May. 21st, 2005 10:36 amFour-thirty comes very slowly when you're running on a week of 4 hrs a night.
I am, if not packed for Heartland, at least laundered for Heartland (hence being up until midnight last night), and the stuff I want to take is all in the same chair. That counts for something, right? My knitting's packed, and that's the important thing.
I finished an old UFO last night (hemming a rayon dress I'd bought about 5 yrs ago), so now I have a "new" dress to wear at camp. And it's presentable enough for the registration desk. Not that anyone's said anything, but I feel like if I'm going to be at the front desk of the festival, so to speak, I ought to wear more than a sarong and sandals.
By left the trailer at camp last night, and is resigned to making multiple trips today, because folks at camp weren't organized enough to unload the trailer. No surprise there. Poor man's even more worn out than I am.
Been working very slowly today, partly because I'm tired, and partly because I go on vacation at 4:30, and my "give a shit" is completely gone. Campus is hosting a track meet today, the Nation Homeschool Track and Field Championships, and that part of campus is a zoo. It's K-12 grade levels, parents everywhere, and not watching the kids at all. *shakes head* Humans. Can't shoot 'em, damn the luck.
New Boss is supposed to leave around noon today; I plan to kick back and rest as soon as he does. maybe I'll work some more on By's kilt hose, since we determined last night that the heel fit is Perfect.
