The higer-ups FINALLY gain some sense...
Feb. 5th, 2004 11:34 am...and announced that campus will be closed as of noon. Should have done that when we realized we had to shovel the same set of steps at least every hour to keep it clear, but better late than never.
So, hello, overtime.
Last place Courtney and I shovelled, the end we started on had 1/4" of snow on it by the time we finished.
We haven't been using icemelt on steps and sidewalks since 8 or so...just too much snow on top of it for it to work.
I've come in and run my coat and coveralls through the dryer twice now, and I'd looking forward to the dry socks I brought with me for the ride home.
I don't want to think about what the roads will be like on the way home. Of course, it's entirely possible I'll end up staying past my usual quit time. Blech.
And the next person who stops me on the sidewalk to tell me, while I'm shovelling, how pretty the snow is, is going to get an icemelt enema!
