General Updates
Mar. 27th, 2003 07:23 amBeen busy the last few days; busy, and thinking.
Got up late this morning, because the power was off. Good thing By woke up enough to check his pocket watch, or I'd still be asleep.
Got all of the flower beds in the front yard cleanup and ready for spring on Sunday. I also got poison ivy all over my hands (I *thought* those roots were coralberry, but...). Occupational hazard. It's not too bad, although I won't be able to wear my wedding ring until the rash between my fingers heals.
Spent Monday in the greenhouse with Donna, putting down seeds. That place is going to be SO full in about 2 weeks. Spent most of Tues on the computer, IM'ing with M. She said something that's been on my mind since. I'll write about it when I figure out how.
Had a couple of long talks with By lately, about things that I haven't been able to talk about until now. Talking the M first helps; some things are just easier to discuss with someone who's been there, and that's not a position By, as a man, has ever been in. That man's patience & empathy still amaze me.
Part of me feels guilty for turning off the radio this week, but I just can't listen to the war. I'm just not convinced we (the nation) should be doing this. And Bush's speeches do not inspire anything but more unease.
