well, that was exciting
Jul. 13th, 2011 09:25 amOne midsummer storm, just in time to save me a heavy round of watering. Yay! We had lots of thunder and some showy lightning, and about 2" of rain. To judge from the water level in the sandbox, before the kids climbed in. Apparently the grass is too wet to run in the yard, but sitting in the flooded sandbox is just fine. I don't understand, but i don't think like a smaall child, either.
The wild rice is the biggest storm casualty. About half of it was flattened, and I'll probably cut it off when the ground is a bit drier and I can get to it. Some of the taller flowers are floppy, queen anne's lace and such, but I still have plenty for The Miss's morning bouquets.
The haircuts last night went well. The Boy behaved himself, and K did a good job on him. And on By, whose hair is above his collar for the first time in a very long time. When I figure out how to post pics on dreamwidth, I'll put one up. It looks good on him.
