How to speak "knitter"

swiped from the KnitList FAQ file--yes, as a matter of fact, I am easily amused today....

USO: Unstarted Object

FO: Finished Object

HALFPINT: Have a Lovely Fantasy Project, I've No Time

BUFO: Boring UnFinished Object

TOAD: Trashed Object, Abandoned in Disgust (for the record, the beige shell I was so obsessed with in May and June is now a TOAD)

Y or WCZ: Yarn or Wool Containment Zone: where we cache our stash.

SEX: Stash Enrichment eXpedition

YAQ: Yarn Acquisition Quest

FOREPLAY: For Our Really Exciting Projects, Let's Add Yarn

Don't think you needed an increase in your vocabulary, but this "jargon" is hilarious. Has knitting become your number one pasttime for the moment, then? Please let me know sometime when you are in Lawrence for SEX.

Yeah, I've caught the knitting bug really bad. Part of it I've been trying to finish specific projects, some for me, some for other people, and that's urging me on, and giving me more ideas. And then I inherited a friend's stash back in June, so I have all this new yarn I'm twitching to play with. Gotta use some of it up so it fits in the yarn closet, you know.

So, between the new stash and the current budget, I'm not yarn shopping. Unless it's something very particular; it's hard to justify paying for more yarn right now. But I'll let you know when I am shopping.
