Quick Update

Just talked to my sister on the phone. She says that Mom came out of surgery ok; they had to cut lot more than expected, because of scar tissue, so she's going to be grumpy for a while. Won't know until I talk to her this evening how long Mom will be in the hospital.

More about Mom

They're saying now that, because the doctors had to go in through her abdominal wall, she'll be in the hospital for a couple of days longer than she'd expected. I'm still going west on Friday, I think; I'd like to spend some quality time with my sister when she's unemcumbered by child or spouse.

Grandma and (great) Aunt Ellen met Mom & Amy at the hospital this morning, but they drove up from Segwick, which is an easy day trip for two little old ladies. They'll likely be back Friday, Amy says.

I pity the nurses today; Mom's been 24 hours without a Pepsi. That's not good.
