Argh.

Yesterday was very slow, a nice easing back into the work thing. Watering trees, very exciting. And knitting. Mustn't forget knitting. Started another random-color afghan yesterday, since I'm almost done with the first (just a bit of edging left), and it's a nice brainless project.

I finished the devilishly difficult temari last night. It turned out rather nice, I think. The last three layers were tricky, not because they were hard to keep track of, just that I was running out of room, and I had lots of stitches that needed to go through the same spot.

Had a nice surprise on the tree trail yesterday afternoon. Well, two, actually. The first was that the little fort-builders have either gotten poison ivy or somewhere else to play, and haven't been back. The second--you remember all the fuss it took to acquire the climbing prairie roses for the tree trail? Guess what I found growing in the weeds under one of the old trees out there....right in one! A 2' tall specimen in full bloom. Not a seedling from the ones I planted, in any case, as I cut the seeds off of all the bushes last fall; I didn't want them to use up their energy on seeding until they were better established.

I get to go spraying today, or at least, part of the day, 'cuz it's going to be too windy tomorrow, and maybe raining. Joy. I'd really rather be in the water truck today--there's going to be some good stuff on the radio.
