two nights down, three to go
I'm tired enough I might actually sleep tonight. One can hope.
Talked to By last night--sounds like the only thing the organizers of this show have done right is security for the high-dollar stuff. They've had problems with the electricity, lighting, airflow in the tent. Add to that little publicity, not knowing what time the "gala opening" was suppposed to start yesterday (but that didn't matter in the end, because no one showed up)--I expect this won't be a show Robyn goes back to. Not to mention the hours....the organizers expect the artists to be at their booths from before 10am until 10pm. By sounds really tired.
Stayed after work and helped Donna move stuff around for the plant sale. Dr Grote brought in cookies--chocolate can't make everything better, but it certainly helps. Brought another two flats home--the first was mixed perennials from Dr Gadburry's yard (that's Donna's boss), nothing fancy, and all stuff she already had lots of; the second was mostly basil.
Finished knitting on the butterfly shawl Monday. Need to weave in the ends and block it, but I have to clean the floor first so I have space. Later. Started knitting a tank top from stash yarn Monday afternoon, as a distraction. It's going fairly well, and faster than I expected for #5needles.
Accomplishment for the week: learning to knit from left to right (yes, that's backwards) so I don't have to turn my work when doing stockingette stitch, I can just switch the yarn to my other hand and work back the other way. Now that I'm getting used to it, it's faster than purling the whole row.
